Past American Family Insurance Championship winners headline early commitments for 2026 event

Annual event returns to TPC Wisconsin in June with unique team format

 

Three former champions of the PGA TOUR Champions American Family Insurance Championship have committed to play in the 2026 event. This includes Ernie Els (2024), host Steve Stricker (2023) and Jerry Kelly (2019 and 2021).

 

The tournament will be held June 5-7 at TPC Wisconsin, and will again feature a unique team format exclusive to the PGA TOUR Champions, promising high energy and low scores.

Els, a 19-time PGA TOUR winner, won the 2024 AmFam Champ in a sudden-death playoff and has seven PGA TOUR Champions wins. Madison native Stricker, who won the tournament in 2023, is a 12-time PGA TOUR winner with 18 PGA TOUR Champions victories, including seven majors. Kelly, a two-time AmFam Champ winner (2019 and 2021), has 13 PGA TOUR Champions victories and three PGA TOUR wins. 

 

This year’s field also features Zach Johnson, who is making his PGA TOUR Champions debut this season. Johnson won his first Champions event earlier this year. Johnson attended the 2023 AmFam Champ, competing in the Celebrity Foursome, hosted by Andy North.

Additional teams will be announced over the next few weeks, with the final tournament field officially determined on Friday, May 29. 

 

Team format 
For the second straight year, the tournament will feature a team competition. A field of 76 players, organized into 38 teams of two, will play 54 holes with two days of best ball and one day of scramble formats. 

 

Tickets 
Tickets for the American Family Insurance Championship are available at www.amfamchampionship.com and are sold on a per-day basis. 

  • Adult general admission: $20 
  • Champions ticket (ages 50 and older): $15 
  • Youth 17 and under (with paid adult): Free 
  • Active duty, reserve and retired military: Free 
  • First responder: Free 


Parking 

Spectators can use free off-site parking and free coach shuttles to the tournament entrance. Parking is available at Madison College Truax Campus, with coach bus shuttles provided by Badger Coaches. The official tournament parking lot is at Anderson Street and Pearson Street (1701 Pearson Street). Shuttles will pick up at the tournament’s Hoffman Street Shuttle Depot for the four-mile trip to the main entrance at TPC Wisconsin. 

 

ADA-compliant parking will be available at 3201 Anderson Street near Madison College Goodman Sports Complex. 

 

Shuttles will run continuously on competition days June 5, 6 and 7 from 7 a.m. to approximately 5 p.m. (Gates open at 8 a.m.; play starts at 9 a.m.) 

 

Rideshare users should follow public parking signage for drop-off and pick-up at 1701 Pearson Street and take the spectator shuttle via the Hoffman Street Shuttle Depot. 

 

No street parking will be allowed in the neighborhoods surrounding TPC Wisconsin.

Little Big Town headlines AmFam Champ concert 

Grand Ole Opry members and award-winning country music superstars Little Big Town will headline the annual AmFam Championship concert Friday, June 5, at Breese Stevens Field in downtown Madison. Special guest Randy Houser will also perform. Houser has been called one of country music’s finest vocalists, with more than one billion streams of several of his hit singles. The lineup will also feature Mae Estes, named to the 2025 GRAMMY.com’s list of “14 Rising Country Stars to Know Now.”
