Following another successful tournament week in 2024, the American Family Insurance Championship and the Steve Stricker American Family Insurance Foundation are now accepting applications from nonprofit organizations to be considered for grants from this year’s proceeds. Applications may be submitted via this grant portal.
All nonprofit organizations are eligible, with preference given to those with a strong focus on families and children and/or serve communities in southcentral and southeastern Wisconsin.
Since 2016, the event has raised $17.2 million distributed via 847 grants to the American Family Children’s Hospital and other local charitable organizations. This year’s proceeds will be announced at an event held at American Family Insurance national headquarters in November.
“We invite local charitable organizations to apply for a grant from the 2024 American Family Insurance Championship proceeds,” said Nate Pokrass, tournament director and executive director of the Foundation. “Hundreds of organizations have benefited from the community’s support of the AmFam Champ since 2016, and we look forward to adding to the proceeds and grant totals this year.”
Applications accepted through Sept. 5
The deadline for application submissions is 4 p.m. central on Thursday, Sept. 5. Applications will be reviewed by the Foundation board, with grant recipients announced in November at the annual grant proceeds event at American Family’s national headquarters in Madison.
“We’re overwhelmed with the continuing support of the AmFam Champ because it allows us to meet our No. 1 goal – partnering with deserving local organizations achieving positive results by funding programs and services through distribution of Foundation grants,” said Steve and Nicki Stricker. “We’re proud to support these amazing nonprofits assisting healthy children and families and look forward to announcing the total amount raised in 2024 and the list of this year’s recipients.”
