Steve Stricker American Family Insurance Foundation accepting grant applications for 2023 American Family Insurance Championship proceeds

The seventh year of the American Family Insurance Championship was another great success, and the Steve Stricker American Family Insurance Foundation is now accepting applications from nonprofit organizations to be considered for grants from 2023 proceeds. Applications may be submitted online via the grant portal.  Nonprofit organizations that have a strong focus on families and children and/or serve communities in southcentral and southeastern Wisconsin are encouraged to apply.

Since 2016, the event has raised nearly $15 million distributed via 700 grants to the American Family Children’s Hospital and other local charitable organizations. This year’s proceeds will be announced at an event held at American Family Insurance national headquarters in December.  “We encourage local charitable organizations, particularly those that benefit healthy children and families, to apply for a grant from the 2023 AmFam Champ proceeds,” said Nate Pokrass, tournament director and executive director of the Foundation. “We’re grateful for the ongoing support of our tournament, and the opportunity it provides us to help so many nonprofits doing impactful work in our local communities.”

Applications accepted through September 7
The deadline for application submissions is 4 p.m. central on Thursday, September 7. Applications will be reviewed by the Foundation board, with grant recipients announced in December.

“Winning the 2023 American Family Insurance Championship was thrilling, but this is the best part – sharing the proceeds with so many deserving nonprofits who tirelessly work to improve our communities,” said Steve Stricker. “Nicki and I, and the entire Foundation board, are proud to partner with these organizations bringing about positive change. We look forward to announcing later this year the total amount raised in 2023, as well as all the grant recipients.”  Nonprofit organizations with questions on the grant process can email the foundation.
